The end is nigh

And so my friends, I must come to the realisation that setting up a market is well outside the parameters of time and energy that I have right now.  So many hurdles - too many for me to get over right now.

This is my last post from this blog.  BUT, this is not my last post!

My new venture is in ladies clothing under my label 'CosyCosy' and you can find me at my new blog from here in.

The market has been an amazing ride.  I've met so many wonderful people and I count myself so blessed for having been introduced to them!

Thanks for following and I'd love you to click onto CosyCosy and keep up with me there :) xxoo

And the butterfly emerges from her cocoon...

For months I have been tucked away, snugly enjoying my quiet life in the country.

But today, something awakened within me.  I don't know if it was my anticipation of my visit to Niche, the gorgeous, sunny day or just a general feeling of wellbeing deep within.  Possibly all three.

I woke up and decided it was time.  I have that itching, gnawing feeling and I can't make it go away.  Time to seriously get market venue negotiating and find a date.  Maybe even a Christmas market??

A change is in the air...

I'm thinking that some of you might believe that I am addicted to change.  And maybe you're right...

I am a strong believer that if something is not the way you want it to be, you keep making changes until it is.

Lots of changes for Homespun this week.  As if moving house and going back to work wasn't enough.  Now Homespun is in the firing line.

Watch this space!

Time where art thou? PS. Market tomorrow!

So its already Friday and feels like the last market was yesterday.

I hope you will please excuse my terrible lack of blogging and this terribly short blog that doesn't include tomorrow's stallholders.

All I can say is time is my enemy.  And that there are 28 magnificent stalls, more new ones, so you must come and have a look.

See you there!

Mum's Day Market Tomorrow

Look at this gorgeous owl tea cosy that could be a great gift for a mum with everything this mother's day!

Pop into town and over to Homespun at Pilgrim Hall and you will find an absolute treasure trove of gifts, made with care and love especially for your mum.

You don't need to be loaded either.  For under $10 you can find lots of lovely things.

We have more great new stalls tomorrow including groovy kids stuff and a completely natural probiotic product that is a great replacement for milk for people who don't drink milk.  Does that sentence make sense?  I'll just put it down to my brains being packed in boxes like the rest of my belongings!

Here are our wonderful stallholders for tomorrow and a gift idea for mum from each:

Soewnearth - a gorgeous journal
Three Little Chickens - a groovy pendant
inner+child - a little felt owl brooch
Shazza & Marys' Knits - on the subject of owls - a divine owl tea cosy
Photos Alegria - an inspirational photo
BJ Creations - a very special fine wool scarf
Cheryl's Creations - a warm and one of a kind freefrom knitted vest
Sew & Sow - a beautiful knitted wrap
Mary & Janice - a wonderful tote
Janellish - cute house slippers for when its not too cold but not warm enough
Ally - a break from the washing by using one of Ally's cute bibs
22 Cupcakes - mmmmm.... morning tea on mother's day
Samspiration - a delightful little hand felted brooch
Handmade by Rowena - a hand woven knee rug
Paper & Thread - a practical little notelet set
Harry de Jonge - a beautiful, hand turned timber bowl

Don't be fooled by our shorter list of stallholders, we are quality plus!

See you tomorrow for your mother's day gift shopping!

Moving House

I'm sorry I've been a bit quiet of late, we're moving house.

Going from a newish and large 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 living area home in semi-suburbia to a little 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, no dishwasher!! house in the country.  'No dishwasher' just reverbs around my head!

I'm looking forward to less cleaning and less mess (surely a smaller house will not attract as much clutter as a large house, no?), a simpler lifestyle and a lovely backyard for the kids.  And a trampoline.

I'll miss our neighbours like crazy, we have the best neighbourhood.  But we'll be back in a couple of years when Nick is posted back to town again.
